In The Good Cook, Anne Willan, teacher extraordinaire, provides a cooking course in a book, a richly illustrated volume that intertwines countless lessons with hundreds of recipes to bring her compelling voice into the kitchens of novice and experienced cooks.

One of the author's goals is to seduce busy people into the kitchen by proving that small lessons yield bountiful results. Anne notes, "I know free time is in short supply, but if you give a little of it to learning some culinary techniques, you'll discover that the more you know, the more fun cooking becomes."

Anne Willan has had an extraordinary career in the culinary arts and is established as one of the world's preeminent authorities on French cooking. She is director of La Varenne at The Greenbrier, a post she has held since 1990. Anne founded Ecole de Cuisine La Varenne in Paris in 1975, and the school is now centered in Burgundy at Château du Feÿ.

Price is $75.00 per person for members (including both members of ChicaGourmets! and of A.I.W.F.), or $90.00 for non-members, inclusive of tax and gratuity.
